I miss this feature now that the elections are over. I am hoping Twitter finds a way to continue some kind of hot topics featured, whether themed (politics) or general.

If you make off topic tweets your tweet will appear for you but not for others viewing that topic.

A couple things I missed mentioning is that there is a tweet box for you to chime in with your own tweet on the subject you are viewing. The tweets are also continually updated on the screen which is different than the Summize/Twitter Search which just queues a number up of updated tweets waiting for you to refresh the page. This feature should find itself on the regular Twitter Search page soon I would think.

I was viewing the Washington topic and made a couple tweets with "Washington" in them, they appeared immediately. I then made a tweet without "Washington" in it but it did contain "Election 2008". To my surprise this tweet also appeared in the Washington topic. After this I tried tweeting a couple more but my session was paused some how and the most recent tweets were no longer visible.

Will have to see how this one plays out....

Thanks for coming by Jeff and Shana and thanks for the comments. Glad to hear you like the idea.

Hey Jeff, I still see a link to subscribe to a sphinner's submits. If you go a to sphinner's submit page you will see an orange rss icon just to the left of the info tab. that will get you the feed of their submits. I tried following a few feeds in my Google reader but it was not very handy. I could not sphinn with out clicking through to the story on sphinn.com. So i ended up going back to trusty old browsser based bookmarks which work very well for this.

Thanks!

Wow, great idea!! I've been having some issues staying up to date with what's going on at Sphinn lately. The Sphinn Community has grown so large that I have been missing things that I wish I hadn't. In order for me not to miss anything requires me to be on Sphinn 24/7 and I just can't do that. I will have to try this idea.... it's a good one. :)
